I focus my practice on commercial and business litigation, construction, real estate, condominium law, business formation and advising. I represent corporate and individual clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative proceedings, and at arbitration and mediation. I am barred in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
I have practiced at boutique, regional and national law firms, where I have handled a wide variety of tort claims, product liability, first-party property claims, insurance coverage matters, and complex administrative claims under the Federal Administrative Procedures Act (APA) and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA). My work in these areas often involved precedential and constitutional issues of first impression.
Prior to my civil practice, I served for five years as an assistant district attorney at the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. In that role, I brought more than 75 cases to trial in both District and Superior Courts and successfully argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
During law school, I was the symposium editor and staff writer for the Journal for Law and Social Justice (formerly The Third World Law Journal). I also worked as a legal intern for the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti, where I collaborated with an international team to prosecute former dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier for crimes against humanity.
In recognition of my work, I was named "Women in Law: Ones to Watch" in 2022 and "Commercial Litigation: Ones to Watch" in 2021 by Best Lawyers in America.
Before attending law school, I taught English language learners in the Bronx, New York, and Madrid, Spain. In what feels like a past life at this point, I danced with the corps de ballet of the Boston Ballet in over 200 performances.
I live in Hingham with my husband and three children just one town over from where my husband and I grew up. I love raising my family on the water. I spend the year either enjoying summer or waiting for summer. I still love to dance.
